| We have apples and oranges here....... You can not test 2 cars for spool that are going the same speed with one having lower gearing...... LOL The car with the lower gearing is moving the same speed , But it is in a much higher RPM band and accelerates to the next higher RPM band quicker as well. The car with the lower gearing here also had a smaller turbo that spools faster besides being in a higher RPM band that the turbos spool better with to start with. Try this test the other way around by starting Scott's car in 3rd at 40mph and Gerald's car in second. Naturally Gerald's car will pull away like crazy.....That is not a fair test either ;) You simply can not test 2 cars with different gearing to find out what spools better. Even on a dyno Scott's car will show it spools faster with both of them in 4th gear because the lower gear ratio will easily spin the dyno drum faster. Gearing plays a much larger roll them most people realize.
